Humanitarian: Projects, donation campaigns, concerts

One important aspect of our work is humanitarian aid. Since the humanitarian situation in the Kurdistan Region remains tense, we try to foster support for the region together with local and international partners. In this context we have initiated projects such as “Give Families Hope” or “Beats 4 minorities”, while we constantly provide updates on the humanitarian situation as well as on how the region can be supported.

In the area of humanitarian aid, the KRG Representation in Austria was able, together with local and international partners, to make significant projects happening. A small excerpt of the major projects: Together with the Austrian-Kurdish youth initiative, the KRG Representation in Austria organized the project “Give Families Hope”, which delivered more than 1100 boxes with necessities to the Kurdistan Region. Furthermore, the project collected 22,000 Euro within a short period of time to help 150 families in need.

Another successful project was the benefit concert “Beats 4 minorities” and the donation campaign from the German record label Jakarta. The revenues of the concert, as well as the 3,500 Euro from the donation campaign were also donated to help alleviate the suffering of the 1.5 million displaced people in the Kurdistan Region.

Furthermore, the KRG Representation in Austria is constantly writing updates regarding the humanitarian situation on a regular basis, also giving updates on how the Region can be supported in the humanitarian field.
