Prime Minister Masrour Barzan travelled to Bahrain to meet with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, at the Safriya Palace in Manama.
The King of Bahrain praised the progress, development, stability, and peaceful coexistence in the Kurdistan Region under the wise and prudent leadership of President Masoud Barzani. He also expressed Bahrain’s readiness to support the Kurdistan Region in all areas.
The Prime Minister extended the Kurdistan Region’s gratitude and appreciation for Bahrain’s support and cooperation.
Both sides agreed on the importance of strengthening relations, opening a Bahraini consulate in the Kurdistan Region, and initiating direct flights between Manama and Erbil in the near future.
The latest developments in the general situation in Syria and the region were also discussed, with the participation of Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s National Security Advisor, and a number of Bahraini ministers.
The Kurdistan Region has a rich history — a great asset and potential for tourism.
